General Causes for
boot problems
1) Sony vaio make nice looking laptops. They are probably the best looking laptops you can buy. They are also quite delicate. If you pick up your laptop with one hand you may be squeezing the hard drive and this will cause hard drive errors such as windows\system32\ not found or even a blue screen. The problem in these cases is your hard drive hence always pick your laptop up with two hands. Sometimes because of condensation a laptop will not power up. Never put your laptop in a bathroom. You cannot see the condensation and it will stop your laptop booting. Also never put your laptop on a window ledge as condensation again will make it freeze on start up.
2) If you use your laptop on a bed you may be blocking the fan. This can lead to over heating and the laptop switching off. This has led to processors over heating and being cooked. The processor sometimes needs to be replaced. Always use your laptop on a flat surface. Not a bed or blanket. Buy a compressed air can from Maplins and blow the air into the fan outlet on your laptop, always do this when the laptop is off. Do this every 6 months to clear the airway and this will prevent boot problems.
3) If you own a small laptop like a tx1xp or t1xp or
t2xp these are small Sony laptops you may find you are getting boot up
problems in fact one day your laptop will just fail to boot at all.
This is a very severe motherboard fault caused by picking the laptop
up with one hand. Do not treat this laptop like a mobile phone it is
an expensive piece of equipment and deserves good handling. Always
pick this bundle of fun up with two hands as if not you will cause bad
contact inside the motherboard which is the most difficult repair for
an engineer and usually has about a 60% success rate of repair. Note
also that some large Sony Vaio machines also suffer from bad contact
as customers will pick these up with one hand and causes irreversible
damage to the motherboard and cause the laptop not to boot.
